Shri Sitaram Singh, a renowned music director, singer, composer, theatre artist who has worked in the fields of music, theatre, films and television with a career spanning over 40 years, was felicitated with the 9th Sharadchandra Vairagkar Memorial award for excellence in theatre. This is the first time the award is given to an artist who works back-stage.
Along with IPTA Raigarh and IPTA Chattisgarh, there were 25 cultural organisations from Raigarh who also felicitated Shri Sitaram Singh. The award has now taken shape of a citizen’s honour.
